I also have a photo freight and a steam excursion for Milwaukee Road 261. MSTS Bin - MSTSbin is an unofficial patch to the core code in Microsoft Train Simulator while other add-ons are limited to using whats already there in the basic product MSTSbin actually provides a whole new set of features as well as a number of fixes to some issues in Train Simulator. my favorite of them is the Milwaukee Road F7 Hudson, pulling a consist of the Morning Hiawatha or the Afternoon Hiawatha. The 2-6-4 adriatic shakes badly at 30 km/h and won't go any faster than that.īUT: I have been able to reach 100 mph in every locomotive that should be capable of it. The German Pacifics cab view is horrible, there is no head out view, and if you put the throttle to 100%, the rods and wheels stop moving, but the loco keeps going forward. the 4-12-2 works great, and the animated Gresley Conjugated Valve Gear is mesmerizing. The only one I have problems with is the SAR 4-8-2+2-8-4 because it uses knuckle couplers, but it has vacuum brakes.
They might derail here and there, but they all stay on the track very well.
